For the last four years, I have served as a State Legislator for Hillsborough County, District 7, serving the towns of Goffstown and Weare, NH. On the County level, I am currently serving on the Hillsborough County Executive Board, which is equivilant to a Town's Budget Committee. It is the charge of the Executive Board to approve all expenses over $5,000 including expenses pertaining to Collective Bargaining Unit Agreements and the Annual County Budget.
On behalf of the Executive Board, I was appointed to observe negotiations of the AFSCME Nursing Home contract negotiations, which finally came to a successful agreement in 2007 after 4 years without a contract. I was appointed, again, for the 2008 AFSCME negotions which are still, at this writing, in the process of discussion.
In my term on the Execitve Board, I was appointed to the Corrections budget in 2007 and the Commissioner's and Corrections budget for 2008. I believe my experience in Town, State and County Government have prepared me to be your County Commissioner.
